Five live 30 minute programs on Manhattan Neighborhood Network as part of Performa 09 TV.

"This is a Test" is a riff on the 30 second tests of the Emergency Broadcast System which emit a dissonant tone and either color bars or a slide. This is an attenuation of that idea over 30 minutes, performed in five variations—one each day. It's a tone piece, or the emission of a particular tone, varied and shifted around in real time over 30 minutes.
